WordPress power used by 2 powerful men – Trump & Modi

Heads of two powerful and biggest democratic countries using WordPress for their official websites – Trump and Modi.

USA:

The White House has used WordPress since December 2017, and WP helped to create their website.

In October 2009, the open-source Drupal CMS was chosen to power the whitehouse.gov website, a move that was heralded at the time as a big win for both Drupal and open source.

With relatively little fanfare, the whitehouse.gov website was relaunched on Dec. 15 using a WordPress CMS, instead of Drupal.

Although there was no official announcement on the whitehouse.gov website, a simple look at the source HTML code for the site provides enough evidence that WordPress is being used.

India:

The official website of Prime Minister’s Office, Government of India.

The website is designed, developed & hosted by National Informatics Centre with Prime Minister’s Office managing the content.

The website is available in 9 Indian languages apart from English.

Along with all the latest updates about PMO and the initiated programs, there is an option available to interact with PM. One can do so by sharing ideas, insights and thoughts, or by writing to PM.

In India, WordPress as a CMS (47 percent) is nearly 12 times more popular than Drupal (4 percent) as of 2015 according to GoDaddy
